Dr. Michael Roubicek: In Memoriam

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Michael C. Roubicek, PhD, LCSW; a beloved member of the community, revered psychotherapist, and co-owner of Roubicek & Thacker Counseling.

For more than four decades, “Dr. Mike”, as he was affectionately known, dedicated his life to helping individuals overcome anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and addiction, among other challenges. Holding advanced degrees in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Clinical Psychology, he was regarded for his compassionate approach and deep commitment to the well-being of his clients. His initial interest in counseling stemmed from his genuine, approachable nature, which grew into an ardent commitment to aiding others in their journey toward a healthier life.

Dr. Mike is survived by his wife, six children, fourteen grandchildren, and his brother. He is also survived by his business partner Stacey Thacker, MA, LMFT.

A memorial service will be held on January 12 at 2:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Clovis (220 N. Peach Ave, Clovis, CA 93619) to honor his remarkable legacy.
