Research shows that couples typically wait an average of 6 years before seeking help for their relationship. But as humans we need connection and when we can’t get it, everything else in life is hard. We may feel lonely, discouraged, resentful and emotionally drained, wondering how to reconnect with our spouse.

Don’t delay seeking help. Couples counseling can give you both a safe, non-judgmental place to explore the cycles of relational dysfunction that cause one or both of you to disconnect. Together you can attack these cycles (instead of each other) and re-establish your connection. Couples counseling will allow you both to experience more meaningful and satisfying interaction.

Rather than teach techniques or tools, closeness and connection is something that I want couples to actually experience in session. For that is when real change starts to take place.
